How We Approach Custom Wedding Invitations
Custom wedding invitations at Mads Studio & Co. begin with listening.
.
While our work is rooted in classic design and thoughtful detail, we're not designing custom wedding invitations to make a statement for ourselves — we're designing with your wedding day in mind.
.
Some couples arrive with a clear vision for their wedding invitaiton design. Others know what feels right but want guidance shaping the details. Our role is to ask the right questions, offer steady direction, and translate your ideas into a design that feels considered, personal, and true to your celebration.
.
Every custom suite is designed from the ground up, with careful attention to typography, layout, and proportion. We layer quality paper stocks, refined printing methods, and subtle finishing details — such as ribbon accents or illustrated envelope liners — always with restraint and intention.
.
The result is wedding stationery that feels well made, timeless, and confidently handled — a reflection of your day, thoughtfully brought to paper.
Since you’ve found your way here, I already know a little about who you are…
You’re deeply in love.
Tradition matters to you.
You value the meaning behind marriage and the moments that surround it.
You’re looking for a thoughtful, personalized experience — one that feels considered rather than rushed. You want wedding stationery that reflects care, quality, and intention, and you appreciate details that feel well made and lasting.
If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
Hi there, I'm Madison
I’ve always been inspired by classic art and timeless traditions. With a deep appreciation for etiquette and refined details, I combine these elements with modern touches to create wedding stationery that resonates with today’s couples. My work celebrates the meaning and beauty of marriage, crafting pieces that reflect the joy and commitment of your love. It would be my honor to bring your love story to life through thoughtfully designed paper goods.
Our Process, Thoughtfully Guided
Consultation
Our process begins with a consultation designed to understand your wedding day as a whole. This is an opportunity to share your vision, priorities, and the experience you want your guests to have, so we can thoughtfully guide the stationery design from the very beginning.
proposal & booking
Once we’ve learned about your vision, we’ll prepare a custom proposal outlining the recommended stationery scope for your wedding. This includes suggested print methods, finishing details, and design elements based on our initial conversation — all thoughtfully chosen to align with your style, priorities, and timeline. When you approve your proposal and submit the 50% retainer, your date is officially reserved and you’re welcomed as a Mads Studio & Co. couple. From there, we’ll move forward with clarity and confidence, knowing every next step is thoughtfully planned.
Design & Refinement
Design begins five to seven months before your wedding date, allowing time for thoughtful development and production. Whether you’re drawn to unique formats, subtle texture, or unexpected details, we’ll incorporate those elements with intention and balance. Our process is collaborative, but guided — shaped by your preferences and comfort level. Some couples arrive with a clear vision, while others begin with a general direction. Either way, we translate your ideas into a cohesive, refined design that feels confident and complete.
Production & Quality
We’re highly selective about our production partners, choosing printers and vendors known for their craftsmanship and consistency. Once your invitation suite returns to the studio, each piece is carefully reviewed to ensure it meets our quality standards. From there, we complete any necessary semi-assembly and final checks before your stationery is prepared for delivery. This step ensures everything is finished with care, accuracy, and attention to detail — so your invitations arrive looking and feeling exactly as intended.
Delivery & Mailing
At least one week before your recommended mailing date, your invitation suites will be delivered fully assembled and ready to mail. All that’s left for you to do is apply postage, seal, and send. Extra suites are included for photography and keepsake purposes, with one presented in a keepsake box for safekeeping.
Delivery
Once guest responses are underway, we’ll design coordinating day-of paper — from escort cards and menus to programs and signage — ensuring every detail feels consistent and thoughtfully finished.
Your Investment
Our custom design fee begins at $2,000 for bespoke invitation suites.
Most of our couples invest $4,000+ in their custom wedding invitations. This typically includes a fully curated four-piece suite (invitation, details card, RSVP card, and coordinating envelopes), professional address printing, RSVP postage, and thoughtful production guidance from start to finish.
Final investment is tailored to your guest count, print methods (digital, letterpress, foil, etc.), paper selections, and embellishments such as silk ribbon, wax seals, vellum wraps, and vintage postage. Additional pieces like save the dates and day-of paper goods are quoted separately based on scope.
