Frequently Asked Questions

Custom Orders

Once your order is placed, we get started immediately! If you did not order custom artwork (a watercolor, drawing, or custom monogram), you’ll receive an emailed proof of the pieces you ordered within 7 business days, starting the business day after your order is placed. If you did order custom artwork with your paper pieces, 3-4 additional weeks will be needed to create that artwork.

We will email a digital proof of your entire order, including your paper pieces as well as any custom artwork, guest addresses, and/or embellishments.

Your order includes two rounds of revisions if needed. Once you have given your approval of your layout, we will begin the printing process that day. Digital printing requires 2-3 weeks before shipping, and letterpress/foil requires 5-7 weeks before shipping.

We will never ever send your order to print without your approval.

Yes! We keep all custom files for up to a year. Please email us at orders@madsstudioco.com and have your original order number on hand when placing your order.

Once proofs are approved, please allow up to four weeks for production of letterpress, foil, and other specialty finishes. These artisanal methods take time—and deliver lasting beauty.

Digital printing offers a quicker turnaround of approximately 14 business days, providing a refined option with a shorter lead time.

For wedding invitations, we recommend beginning the process 4–6 months ahead of your date. For day-of paper (like programs, menus, and signage), please allow at least one month before your event.

Planning for Other Paper Goods
For holiday cards and occasion stationery, we suggest ordering 3–4 weeks before you'd like them in hand. The earlier you begin, the more options you'll have for customization and delivery.

Whether you're celebrating a milestone or mailing festive greetings, we're here to make it effortless—and beautiful.

Shipping

You can check your order status by visiting your order history by logging into your account, or please feel free to email us at orders@madsstudioco.com.

If you have a package that was marked as delivered but you have not yet received it, we ask you to take the following steps:

1. Check with your neighbors or front office (if applicable) to see if the package was left there.
2. Reach out to your local post office or UPS facility.
3. Contact our team at orders@madsstudioco.com and include your order number.

Please report your lost or stolen shipment within 7 days of the marked delivery date. If an order is lost after being shipped to a third-party mail forwarding facility, we are unable to assume responsibility of the package once it is marked as delivered.

Please note, Mads Studio & Co. is not responsible for refunding or reshipping lost orders due to an incorrect address at checkout.

Wedding Paper

Your stationery will arrive beautifully packaged and ready for your next steps, complete with detailed instructions for assembly, postage, and mailing. And of course, I'm always just an email away if you need a little extra guidance.

If you’ve selected the Premium Package, full assembly and mailing services are already included—so you can sit back and relax. For other packages, these services are available as an optional add-on and can be included at any point in the process.

When counting, think in terms of households—not individual guests. Couples, families, or roommates only need one invitation per address.

We offer our suites and save the dates in increments of 25, starting at 25. We always recommend ordering at least 10–15 extra suites to ensure you have:

– A clean copy for your photographer on the big day
– Several keepsakes for you and your family
– Extras for last-minute additions or any that may be returned in the mail

For example, if you're mailing 105 invitations, we suggest ordering 125. Trust us—you’ll be glad to have the extras on hand.

To help everything go smoothly and stress-free, here’s a general timeline to guide you:

Save the Dates
Plan to order and mail your save the dates 6–8 months before your wedding (or earlier for destination weddings). This gives guests plenty of time to make travel arrangements.

Wedding Invitations
Your invitations should be ordered 4–6 months before the wedding and mailed 8–10 weeks before your big day. This allows time for assembly, addressing, and postage—and gives guests time to RSVP.

Day-Of Paper
Menus, programs, place cards, signage, and other day-of details should be finalized and ordered 6–8 weeks before the wedding to ensure everything is ready in time and beautifully cohesive with your suite.
